Sindh Flood 2022

With the generous support of donors from the USA and Pakistan, Fikr-e-Sadaat Welfare Foundation launched a critical humanitarian mission to assist 200+ flood-affected Sadaat families in Sanghar, Pakistan. Recognizing the devastating impact of the floods, our team provided comprehensive relief tailored to the specific needs of the community. Your contributions enabled us to distribute essential grocery packs containing rice, lentils, oil, wheat flour, tea, and besan to ensure families had sustenance during the crisis. To address the immediate loss of housing, we provided waterproof tents, offering families safety and temporary shelter from the elements. Beyond basic survival, we prioritized health by supplying clean drinking water to prevent waterborne diseases. We also focused on the emotional recovery of children by distributing biscuits and toffees to bring them comfort and distraction during this difficult time. Our support extended to psychological counseling to help victims cope with trauma. This mission demonstrated our unwavering commitment to alleviating suffering and fostering resilience, helping the Sadaat community in Pakistan recover and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Your Question Answered

What was the Sindh Flood Drive 2022?

Thanks to our generous US donors, we provided emergency relief to 200+ flood-affected Sadaat families across Sindh province in Pakistan, including 125 families in Sanghar, with essential supplies and emotional support.

What relief items were distributed to flood victims?

Your donations helped us distribute essential groceries (rice, lentils, oil, wheat flour, tea, besan), waterproof tents, clean drinking water, and biscuits and toffees for children during the crisis.

Why did you specifically target Sadaat families for flood relief?

According to Islamic law, Sadaat cannot receive Zakat. While other NGOs used Zakat funds, we served Sadaat-e-Kiraam exclusively with pure wealth. Your US donations made this possible.

What made your flood relief approach different?

Beyond basic supplies, your contributions enabled psychological counseling, community support groups, and a special focus on children's emotional well-being—all delivered with dignity and respect.

Was this a one-time distribution or ongoing support?

No! After immediate relief, we continued supporting families through employment opportunities and small business initiatives in Pakistan to help them achieve long-term financial stability.

How did you ensure the relief reached genuine flood victims?

Our team in Pakistan conducted thorough ground assessments and verification, customizing assistance based on each family's specific needs and circumstances.

Can you respond to future disasters affecting Sadaat families?

Absolutely! With continued support from our US donors, we remain prepared to respond swiftly to any future calamities affecting Sadaat families across Pakistan.

How can I support future disaster relief efforts?
